Cope Posting

Definition

Posts that attempt to rationalize or minimize a clearly negative outcome. Cope posts are often easy to identify because they start with 'actually, this is good because...' when it clearly isn't.

Example

Losing half the user base was 'strategic pruning of inactive accounts.' Sure. Cope posting at its finest.
